 Benjamin Branch is an expert in federal campaign finance and leads the firm’s strategic fundraising activities. With decades of federal policy and fundraising experience, Benjamin has cultivated relationships with key Congressional members, staff, and influential decision-makers in Washington, D.C. His expertise in bolstering fundraising goals through innovative strategies and his deep connections and insight into federal politics is critical to his outstanding success on behalf of nonprofit entities, corporate clients, and candidates. 

As the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee (CBCPAC), Benjamin successfully executed innovative fundraising strategies, redesigned and strengthened candidate recruitment, and grew the organization’s outreach programs during a highly competitive election cycle. In this role, he worked closely with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to increase minority engagement. Benjamin directed the production of numerous events, retreats, and fundraisers across the country, ranging from single and multi-issue focused events to sporting events and concerts. Under his direction, CBCPAC raised over $3 million in the 2018 elections and helped secure eight new seats within the Congressional Black Caucus.

Benjamin is also a seasoned federal lobbyist who has successfully led advocacy campaigns and legislative and regulatory initiatives on issues ranging from telecommunications, business regulation, employment, workforce, and taxation. As Vice President of Federal Government Affairs for the International Franchise Association, he led bipartisan efforts urging the Federal Trade Commission to protect the franchise business model and was instrumental in advocating to increase minority franchise ownership.

 Benjamin previously served as Legislative Director and Senior Policy Advisor for Congressman Gregory Meeks, where he advised on legislative and policy initiatives impacting telecommunications, transportation, appropriations, and energy. During the election cycle, he oversaw fundraising activities for the Congressman’s Build America PAC and campaign committee.

 Benjamin graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and began his career in politics as a staffer for former U.S. Senator Charles Robb from Virginia.
